James Edward Johnson IV (born June 6, 2000), known professionally as BabyTron, is an American rapper and songwriter. Known for his punchlines and beat selection as well for his lyrical work, he initially gained popularity in 2019 with his track “Jesus Shuttlesworth” and is a member of hip hop group ShittyBoyz.

Growing up in the streets of Ypsilanti, BabyTron’s exposure to the city’s hip-hop culture inspired him to pursue a career in music. He began releasing music independently, gaining attention with his raw and unfiltered lyrics that depicted the realities of street life.
