Bad Wolves Information

Bad Wolves is an American heavy metal band that emerged on the scene with a blend of powerful music, emotional depth, and a commitment to raising awareness about mental health issues. Their rise from formation to chart-topping success is a story of perseverance, collaboration, and the impact of their socially conscious approach.

The band was formed in 2017 in Los Angeles, California, and quickly gained attention for their distinctive sound that fuses elements of heavy metal, hard rock, and melodic hooks. The initial lineup included Tommy Vext (vocals), John Boecklin (drums), Doc Coyle (guitar), Chris Cain (guitar), and Kyle Konkiel (bass).

Bad Wolves achieved instant recognition with their cover of the song “Zombie” by The Cranberries, released in 2018. The cover became a heartfelt tribute to the original singer, Dolores O’Riordan, who had passed away earlier that year. The band’s rendition captured the emotional weight of the song while infusing it with their heavy and anthemic sound.

The success of “Zombie” propelled Bad Wolves into the spotlight, and they signed with a major record label. Their debut album, “Disobey” (2018), showcased their ability to create hard-hitting tracks while also exploring themes of personal struggle and resilience. Tracks like “Hear Me Now” featuring Diamante and “Remember When” demonstrated their capacity to blend melodic hooks with intense instrumentation.

The band’s commitment to addressing important issues was evident not only in their music but also in their actions. They donated a portion of the proceeds from their cover of “Zombie” to Dolores O’Riordan‘s family and actively supported causes related to mental health awareness.

In 2019, Bad Wolves released their sophomore album, “N.A.T.I.O.N.,” which further solidified their position in the metal scene. The album showcased their growth as songwriters and their ability to evolve their sound while retaining their heavy and impactful core.

However, the band’s journey has been marked by changes in lineup. Tommy Vext left the band in 2021, and Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz took over as lead vocalist. Despite the challenges, Bad Wolves continued to focus on their music and their message.
